Hand-sculpted in wax and cast in solid sterling silver, the Boann Ring is a one-of-one sculptural piece with an organic surface and substance.
Named for Boann, an Irish figure associated with movement, knowledge, and perseverance, its form carries a grounded, flowing strength.
This was one of the more difficult pieces to release from the studio. Its shape developed slowly through repeated refining — adjusted by hand until it held the movement and balance I was looking for.
Each piece begins as an original wax sculpture before being cast using the traditional lost wax process. The wax is destroyed during casting, meaning no exact version can be recreated. Natural surface shifts and subtle maker’s marks remain as part of its making.
